The incident echoes a comparable occurrence from the previous season of the club. On December 5th of last year, a Friday morning, local law enforcement detained former Almeria player Aridane Hernandez following a positive breathalyzer test after an accident. It is reported that he collided with three parked vehicles before crashing his black Porsche Cayenne into the entrance of his residential complex. Following his release, Hernandez was able to participate in training with the team the following morning, yet he ultimately departed from Almeria during the winter transfer window.
